The Water Gave Us Holding

£75.00

A discarded marine fish crate becomes an unexpected vessel for sea, light, and reflection. Once designed to hold catch and commerce, it now holds horizon, calm, and memory.

The Water Gave Us Holding reflects on the sea as a place of containment and release: somewhere I return to feel steadied, softened, and held by shifting light, tidal rhythm, and open space.

The worn plastic structure remains visible, carrying its industrial history within the work. In transforming marine debris into a seascape, the piece asks what the sea carries for us, and what responsibilities are held within our relationship to it.
